ACT Policing continues to target drink driving and defective vehicles in the territory, alongside ACT Vehicle Safety Standard Inspectors.
The team are undertaking a joint operation at several locations across Canberra this week.
On Tuesday, 372 alcohol screen tests were undertaken, with officers issuing 36 defects to unroadworthy motor vehicles as well as 12 infringements.
About 1:10pm on Tuesday, police were conducting RBT activities in Curtin which picked up a 31-year-old Mawson man with a positive result.
The man was then taken to Woden Police Station to undergo an alcohol screening analysis which produced a reading of nearly double the limit.
The man who had a nine-month-old baby in the car, had his licence immediately suspended and will face court at a later date.
