The Monaro Highway is being upgraded to deliver improved safety, freight efficiency and faster and smoother travel for Tuggeranong, the Woden Valley and southern NSW.
Construction of a new flyover and interchange at the Monaro Highway and Lanyon Drive intersection in Hume is underway.
Lanyon Drive between the northbound and southbound carriageways of Monaro Highway will be closed each day from 4am to 6am, Monday 20 April to Thursday 23 April 2026.
These early morning closures will allow for concrete works to be undertaken over Lanyon Drive to connect the bridge deck to the concrete barriers.
During the closures, there will be detours through the Hume industrial area along Sheppard Street to access Monaro Highway, with forecast impacts of approximately five minutes.
Road users are reminded to follow all signage and directions from traffic controllers, and to be aware that reduced speed limits apply throughout the project site.
Construction of the flyover and interchange is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
