Legal action begins today (Friday) by public housing tenants who are facing eviction by the A.C.T. Government.

About 340 social housing tenants were given letters from Housing A.C.T. saying they had to move  as part of the territory government’s “Growth and Renewal” program.

Three people are taking the case further seeking a variety of conditions including a delay in moving – as well as highlighting their rights have been denied, according to the Human Rights Act.

The proceedings have been listed for a directions hearing this Friday morning in the A.C.T. Supreme Court
