Foreign Airline lands at Canberra Airport

An amazing sight at Canberra Airport

Sunday’s emergency in the Sydney airport control tower forced a United Airlines jet to divert to the national capital.

The flight from Houston remained in Canberra for nearly six hours as the airline had to also fly-in a fresh crew to ensure the passengers eventually got to Sydney.

Passengers stayed in a quarantined area of the airport, under the supervision of Federal Police.

The United 787 Dreamliner was pushed out by one of the airport’s regular tugs before taking off to finish its Sydney bound journey.
