Former ACT Attorney-General Gordon Ramsay has been charged with grooming a teenage boy.

The 61-year-old, who has served as Chief Executive of the Cultural Facilities Corporation since 2021, appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with encouraging a young person to engage in an act of a sexual nature.

Mr Ramsay’s lawyer entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf. Police allege the offence occurred between January 2022 and December 2024.

The boy reportedly contacted police in September, leading to Mr Ramsay’s arrest on Wednesday night. Officers executed search warrants at his home and car, seizing electronic devices for examination.
