A 78-year-old Pearce man has died following a collision at the Mugga Lane Resource Management Centre last week.

Police say the man was hit by a reversing truck around 2.45 on Wednesday October 1 and suffered life-threatening injuries.

He died in hospital yesterday, becoming the sixth road fatality in the ACT this year.

Acting Detective Sergeant Nathan Smorhun says it appears to be a tragic accident.
