Government to take control of Hospice

The future of the hospice remained in limbo, following the government’s decision last month to takeover Calvary Bruce public hospital.

Calvary and the ACT government have since then come to a mutual agreement about the future of Clare Holland House, announcing the government will take control of the hospice next week.

Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith says the decision would ensure continued care for patients needing public palliative health services.
