Horses Debate Continues

A former member for Monaro is disputing claims made by the Invasive Species Council over the number of feral horses in the region.

Peter Cochran argues the council’s estimates of 19,000 horses and their 30 per population rise in two years far exceeds the proper total.

Mr Cochran claims the problem lies in how the council obtains its numbers – which he says is misrepresenting the issue.
