International in Canberra Loses Drivers Licence

A 26-year-old Amaroo man will face the ACT Magistrates Court in the coming weeks – after being caught allegedly drink driving while on a non-recognised international drivers licence.  

The man from Nepal was pulled over on Friday along Drakeford Drive, Kambah

The man underwent a breath screening test which was allegedly positive.

He was taken to Tuggeranong Police Station, where he returned a breath analysis of 0.127

As Nepal is a non-recognised country for licencing purposes in the ACT, – the man was subject to a zero blood-alcohol-limit

He was immediately suspended from driving in the ACT for 90 days pending his upcoming court appearance.
