Canberra based airline LINK says it’ll do better, in the wake of a report into a recent mid-air emergency.

It was November 2022 – the airline was operating a flight on behalf of Virgin from Canberra to Sydney, when a propeller strap penetrated the fuselage on take off, injuring one of the passengers.

A report’s found a variety of reasons… include failure by one of the pilots to extend a safety line from the propellor, when on the tarmac… and ground crew did not adhere to procedures prior to departure.

LINK says it’s now strengthened its procedures and will audit the ground operations.
