There’s concerns some Canberrans are still waiting too long to get tested for COVID.

According to the ACT Chief Health Officer Dr Kerryn Coleman, 40% of people still waiting two or more days to get tested.

There’s also been reports of some locals waiting up to 13 days.

“Things can change very quickly in the world of COVID, as we have seen,” said CHO Kerryn Coleman

“I really need us to be in the strongest possible position as we change these public health orders.

“Really simply, I think what we need to remember moving forward is that we want the lowest possible case numbers we can get and the highest possible vaccination coverage as we move to the next stage of our pathway forward.”
