Authorities are keeping a close eye on the aftermath of a grassfire in Majura.

The alarm was raised early yesterday afternoon near the intersection of Majura Parkway and Majura Road, opposite Mount Majura nature reserve.

The blaze was brought under control a few hours later, but the area was monitored overnight incase of any flare ups.

Officials say the fire was small and there was no risk to nearby properties.

ACT Fire & Rescue, ACT Rural Fire Service, and ACT Parks and Conservation Service responded to the alarm.
