A 59 year old man from New South Wales will face court today, charged with 21 additional sexual offences relating to historical sexual offending in the 1980s and 1990s.

The man, who was known to frequent multiple church groups and regularly attended church community events in Canberra, has previously been charged with multiple sexual offences.

He last appeared before the ACT Supreme Court on May 6th this year.

Following further enquiries, investigators from the ACT Policing’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse team have laid an additional 21 charges in relation to multiple further victims.

A summons was issued and the man is due to appear before the ACT Magistrates Court today.
