Mask mandate to end at Canberra Airport

Masks will no longer be mandatory in the Canberra Airport from Saturday, following changes to the health guidelines.

The government will follow the national approach in making the changes.

Masks will still be required on flights.

Managing Director Stephen Byron says it will make it easier for the airport to recruit staff.
