Canberrans are being urged to look out for signs of Meningococcal disease ahead of a predicted peak in coming months.
It’s a deadly disease –
cases usually peak in winter and early spring…. so-far, there are 26 recorded cases in Australia, this year.
According to the Federal Health Department, 40 percent of patients develop long-term issues.
It’s been reealed, infections were lower during the pandemic, but the level of infections have been rising ever since.
