Work has begun on Canberra’s newest public primary school.

Early earth works on the site of the new public primary school in Whitlam are underway.

Once completed, the school will cater for up to 780 primary school students from preschool to Year 6.

The school will open a in staged approach… Education Minister Yvette Berry says the first enrolments will be welcomed for students in Term 1 of 2027.

Planning for the early childhood education and care centre is also underway and will be developed in a future stage, said Minister for Education and Early Childhood, Yvette Berry.

“With the school set to open in a staged approach, we look forward to welcoming the first students in term 1 of 2027. “
