Association President Walter Abhayaratna says authorities should not delay the introduction and he’s happy with what he’s seen in the plan so far.
From the end of the month, the territory will lessen the penalties against those caught with a small amount of hard drugs and offer diversion programs.
Police fear, Canberra will become Australia’s hard drugs haven.
The Opposition says it’ll overturn the act, if elected.
