If you’re travelling overseas during the A.C.T. Election later this year, keep in mind that online voting has been ruled out.
The decision means – anyone who can’t vote on the day, will need to seek alternative arrangements, whether it’s a pre-poll vote even sending it by mail before leaving.
Electronic voting from overseas was introduced for the 2020 election – more than 15-hundred ballots were cast.
But the upcoming October election’s internet based system is being abandoned
– that’s because of new advice, of security threats to electoral integrity.
