The Canberra Liberals continue the fight to allow the A.C.T.’s Integrity Commission to have the power to intercept phone conversations.
It’s an on-going process by the Liberals, which says the A.C.T.’s chief minister keeps dragging his feet.
Liberals leader Elizabeth Lee plans to introduce a bill in the Legislative Assembly this week, to give the A.C.T. the same power that’s granted in other states.
In the recent Estimates Hearings, the Integrity Commissioner revealed the Chief Minister had not responded to his request for a meeting to discuss the required changes in legislation.
