Police Further Probe Costco Assaults

Police are again calling for witnesses to the assault of staff in the Canberra Costco outlet.

Three teenagers entered the store on Tuesday afternoon, with one of the teens assaulting several staff members before attempting to leave.

At the same time, the group tried to assault several members of the public before escaping on foot.

The trio was arrested a short time later –

A 13-year-old Gungahlin boy has been charged with breach of bail and five counts of common assault,

a 16-year-old Gungahlin girl has been charged with unlawful possession of stolen property, possessing a knife, and common assault,

and a 16-year-old girl from Tuggeranong has been charged with five counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.  

Police are seeking additional witnesses to come forward, as they make further investigations into the incident.
