ACT Policing is renewing its call for information from the public regarding missing 38-year-old man Tim Lyons, particularly from those residing in Canberra’s south.
Tim has not been seen or heard from since about 4pm on Tuesday, 19 December 2023, and was last seen in Gordon.
He is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 175cm (5’8”) tall, with a slim build, fair complexion, close cropped hair, a full black beard, and green eyes.
Throughout late December and early January, police have been conducting extensive searches in the Tuggeranong region. Tim is known to frequent Canberra’s south, and are asking members of the community who live in this area to be on particular alert for potential sightings of him.
He was possibly wearing a black t-shirt, black jeans, and black boots. Tim also has a visible scar on his right eyebrow and a piercing at the top of his left ear.
Despite previous reports that Tim may have been carrying an orange ‘tiger’ patterned blanket, it is now possible that he was carrying a leopard print faux mink blanket. He was also possibly carrying a blue or green wool blanket, a pillow, and sheets.
ACT Policing is also releasing a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to, and are seeking the public’s assistance to identify him. It is not believed this man has any involvement in the disappearance of Tim, however police would like to confirm his identity.
Police and Tim’s family hold concerns for his welfare, and are requesting the public’s assistance to locate him.

Police have previously asked for public assistance to locate Tim on 23 December 2023 and 28 December 2023.
