There’s support for Canberra’s National Gallery which has refused to remove a portrait of Gina Rinehart, despite her demand that it be taken down.
GINA RINEHART is not happy with the portrait- and wants it removed from a gallery exhibit..
ROBERT NELSON from Melbourne University – who’s understanding – but agrees with the Gallery’s decision to keep the paintwork by VINCENT NAMATJIRA… amid concerns, the demand could be seen as a form of censorship.
The gallery says Ms Rinehart has the right to express herself, but does not have authority to make such a demand.
