Police have reportedly failed to find any items of significance after searching a pine plantation where Keren Rowland was found dead almost 50 years ago.

Officers scoured the area with metal detectors yesterday after a person came forward with fresh information about the cold case.

Local journalist and historian Nichole Overall was there for the search and says the only items found included scraps of metal and old coins.

Anyone with information that could help police is being urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
