The Commonwealth has officially been asked to stump up a fifty fifty funding arrangement for a new stadium in Bruce.
It’s being considered a significant stadium development.
Chief Minister ANDREW BARR has sent a letter to the Prime Minister as well as other Federal Government stake holders, for a 50 50 spending partnership.
It’s understood, the letter was sent in early March.
Under the plan, a 30-thousand seat stadium would be built at Bruce by 2033…. However, success hinges on the Federal contribution.
Both the Chief Minister and Opposition Leader Elizabeth Lee have sent letters to the Prime Minister, calling for a contribution.
This is the first time Andrew Barr has sent a letter to Anthony Albanese about funding for a new stadium in Bruce.
Officials say – discussions are on-going. SM CRN
