Startling Figures on Family Violence

Reports of family violence offences in the ACT are the highest they’ve been in five years, according to ACT Police.

Nearly half of reported acts of violence were family incidents, closely followed by sexual offences.

ACT Police maintain, while reports have increased, there are still plenty of incidents that are going unreported.

President of the Australian Federal Police Association Alex Caruana says funding is key to keep ACT Police catching offenders.
