A.C.T. Chief Minister ANDREW BARR is expecting five and a half Million people when Summernats roars into Canberra in the new year.

It’s a tall order – but the Chief Minister reckons it can be done.

ANDREW BARR also wants to ensure the precinct gets an economic boost from the event.

And for the first time, the routine where cars cruise down Northbourne Avenue to Braddon has been extended to a three night event.

Summernats will see the return of the usual loud machines – and equally fashionable loud mullets take over Canberra’s Exhibition Park in ealry January, over a four day period.
