A stir within emergency circles yesterday with 11-thousand people receiving text messages of a flood warning

The alert was targetted at the community in the vicinity of Ginninderra Creek, between Kingsford Smith Drive and Florey Drive, MacGregor.

The good news: – it was all a false alarm.

The alert was supposed to be kept “IN-HOUSE” within a training environment.

Officials later stated, they can assure flooding was not going to happen in Ginninderra Creek
