Police have thrown the book at two teenage drivers following separate road incidents across the weekend in Canberra.

In the first incident, police say a p plater was caught early Saturday morning at twice the speed limit in Mitchell

They say he also failed to show his p plates and contravened the conditions of his drivers lic.
As a result, his lic was suspended for three months

The on Saturday night, a 17 year old was arrested for reckless driving along Tuggeranong parkway.

He was further charged with drink driving.
