There’s an added level of protection for Canberra’s endangered rock wallaby.
It’s the Jedbinbilla Safe Haven at Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve –
The haven’s been opened to help protect the animals from predators… and hopefully, save them from extinction.
The A.C.T. Government says there are less than a hundred of the brush tailed rock wallaby.
The haven is a predator proof enclosure – authorities hope the population will grow and some can be re-introduced to parts of the A.C.T. and Victoria.
