Woman to face court for importing commercial quantity of drugs

A 39 year old Bonner woman has been charged and will face court after Police intercepted 4.5 kilograms of methylamphetamine allegedly bound for her residence.

The drugs were replaced with an inert substance, Police tracked delivery of the parcel to her property.

A search warrant was executed, the woman will face charges of attempting to possess a commercial quantity of an unlawfully imported drug.

Detective Inspector Mark Steel from ACT Policing says authorities will continue to work cooperatively to target the importation of illegal drugs into the ACT.
