This week marks 24 years since the home invasion of local grandparents Irma and Gregor Palasics.

Two men allegedly broke into the pair’s McKellar home, with the night ending with the tragic death of 73 year old Irma.

The case has come back into the public conscience recently, with the arrest of one man linked to the crime scene.

John Mikita, the grandson of the pair says it is still difficult to comprehend what happened to his family.
