30 Years Since Mabo Decision

Canberra’s National Library is the homesite for the anniversary of the so-called “Mabo” decision from 30 years ago.

The court decision three decades ago changed Australia’s land laws… and provided official recognition of the inherent rights of indigenous Australians to their traditional land.

30-years later, an extensive collection of material, relating to the Mabo decision is on display at Library in Parkes.

It involves select material to mark the landmark moment in Australia’s legal history…. it’s now open through to the end of April.
