A.N.U. Crackdown

Authorities at the Australian National University have begun imposing disciplinary action over protest action in support of Hamas.

Authorities have labelled it as potential breaches of student conduct codes.

In a letter to activist students – connected with the university’s pro-Palestine encampment, – they’re being warned, the rolling protest action was “causing harm to members of the community”.

The letter goes on to say, “the University’s willing to work with participants to find more respectful ways… and that breaches of the code are taken seriously”.
Disciplinary action’s already been taken after an event, earlier this week, in which a student went on radio declaring support for Hamas.
