Canberra’s weather appears to have eased atleast for now – but authorities are warning us to stay alert over the next few days.

There’s the forecast of more rain later this week, but it’s not expected to be as bad as we’ve recently witnessed.

but there are high levels of residual moisture in the ground.

That’s causing problems for A.C.T. sports grounds which are expected to remain closed for the rest of the week,  However,  the Woden athletics track and the Melrose and Nicholls synthetic fields remain open.

We’re also being told to keep an eye on river levels across the region, which are likely to rise this weekend.
