Police have revealed speeding offences were the main problem for motorists doing the wrong thing across the A.C.T. over the long weekend.

85 tickets were issued over the double demerits campaign.

From that number, A.C.T. Police say 41 motorists were caught speeding.

In one case, a driver clocked 45 km/h over the speed limit.

Other infringements include four for unlicenced driving and 15 for driving an unregistered vehicle.

More than 12-hundred breath tests were conducted. Five were caught over the limit and two were drug related.
