Rugby Australia has moved to allay concerns about a possible merger between the A.C.T. Brumbies and the Melbourne Rebels.

Last week, the Rebels entered voluntary administration… just a month out from the Super Rugby season.

Rugby Australia has taken control of the licence to ensure this year’s schedule goes ahead.

It’s also ruled out suggestions of a combined A.C.T. Melbourne team… declaring there’s no interest of an attempt to merge the two clubs….
