Bus VS Light Rail Travel Time

Share:

The Territory Opposition is accusing the A.C.T. Government of NOT being serious about upgrading Canberra’s bus fleet – and claims it’s actually causing greater grief with the extension of light rail.

The comment comes from Opposition transport spokesman MARK PARTON in the wake of what he says has been an 11 year delay to remove out-dated buses from its fleet…

It’s now been pushed back to the end of the year.

He also says the light rail 2B extension is proving to be costly – and doubles the amount of public transport time.

Mr Parton says the bus travel is only 15 minutes, while the planned light rail travel time is nearly half an hour.
