Canberra has recorded the highest petrol price at the pump in any capital city.
The increase in bowser prices has come after the tax excise on fuel rose another half cent a litre.
The rise came in a week ago.
According to petrol price monitoring company FUEL WATCH – Canberra’s 91 unleaded was priced at an average $2.10 over the past week – 20 cents more expensive than in New South Wa.es
Melbourne was the 2nd most expensive capital city at $2.05 a litre.
According to the NRMA, petrol prices are expected to drop over the next month or so.
