A former Canberra identity – at the centre of new rape claims – is due to face a a committal hearing in Queensland later this year.

Bruce Lehrmann denied claims of raping Brittany Higgins at Parliament House in Canberra – the case was eventually abandoned. But FRESH allegations later came to light.. this time in Toowoomba in Queensland.

A date has now been set for a committal hearing for the 28 year old, who was charged with two counts of raping a woman in 2021.

He was charged last year over the alleged offence.

A half day hearing has been set-down for the middle of June.
