Two New South Wales police officers have been excused from attending an upcoming court date to face charges of assaulting a Canberra Raiders player back in 2020

Tom Starling faced a variety of charges after an altercation at a bar on the New South Wales Central Coast.

He was cleared of any wrongdoing

In turn, the officers were charged with common assault… with Starling receiving facial injuries at the time.

The officers pleaded not guilty after their initial court appearance last week.

The case goes back to court in May – but there’s now confirmation, the officers have been excused from attending.
