A former Federal Police officer plans to run for office at the next election for the A.C.T.

Sergeant Jason Taylor had his career cut short after responding to an incdent in Gungahlin in 2020 when he was attacked.

He now plans to run as a candidate for the Belco Party because he’s unhappy with the the current Government’s record on law-and-order

“While my career as a police officer didn’t end the way I wanted it to, I have never lost the drive to make my community a better and safer place.

“I see serving in the Legislative Assembly as allowing me to fulfil this drive in a meaningful way,” Taylor said.
