Plans to bring back QATAR airlines to Canberra airport could be dead in the water.

The flights between Doha and Canberra were supposed to begin a month ago – but got delayed due to, what was described as “Operational issues”.

The resumption date was pushed back to December, pending the outcome of talks with ground handling service “Swissport” on a suitable tug to push-back the airline’s Boeing Triple Seven jet on the tarmac.

But according to the website “Australian Frequent Flyer”  it’s understood discussions have failed and tickets for direct international flights between Canberra and Doha are on the brink of being removed from booking search engines.
