The government says it believes all women and girls should be able to reach their full potential and be leaders, and will now put forward a policy for those applying for tenders of five million dollars or more.

It will require them to set a target for the number of women employed in different job categories, improve working conditions for women, have internal plans to achieve gender equity and contribute to reducing gender bias.

The government is inviting the community to have their say, by sending a written submission or register to be part of a virtual discussion.
