The A.C.T.’s Container Deposit Scheme has again been hacked, more than a year after a similar incident.

In a message to account holders from “RETURN IT” – the company which runs the scheme,

“Unknown and unauthorised persons have tried to access customer accounts and transfer Express account balances to another bank account,”

However, the system is set up to stop fraudulant activity – and affected customers were notified last Thursday.

The company says there’s been no further suspicious activity…. and is running increased monitoring and cyber security processes.

A similar hack occurred more than a year ago.
