One of the ACT’s longest serving Chief Police Officers is retiring.

Neil Gaughan will step down in March, which will end a 4 decade long career in the force, after joining when he was 19.

While he is retiring from policing, Mr Gaughan will be kept busy, telling the times ‘I’m not going to do nothing’.

The search is now underway for the next head of ACT Policing.
