Hume gets new Road Policing Centre

Share:

Police Minister Mick Gentleman has opened a new Road Policing Centre in Hume.

It will serve as a centre for Road Policing, Emergency Management and Planning, Fleet and Radio Technicians.

The government spent five million towards the centre, which is expected to have 80 staff based initially, but eventually house 120.

The new centre is located close to the Monaro Highway, which will allow police to deploy across Canberra quickly and easily.
