Work’s expected to start this week on Canberra’s first bridge for light rail.

It’s all part of construction plans for light rail Stage 2A…. and it’s considered, a major milestone connecting the City with Commonwealth Park and the Acton Waterfront.- the FIRST of several bridges.

But the work COMES at a cost…

Parkes Way will need to close from about the last week of the month, and possibly the first week of July, with additional closures LATER, as required.

Infrastructure Canberra says alternative routes will be displayed.
