According to police, the 32-year-old man threatened a woman with a firearm until she gave up the keys to her Tesla and drove off.

Police engaged in a short pursuit – which was abandoned due to safety concerns for other road users.

The man was arrested in Ainslie and the car was recovered at 9am yesterday. Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.

He’s due to face the Magistrate’s Court today.
