Canberrans are being warned about scammers – who lie to those on Medicare, to get their personal bank details.
The scam is simple – scammers reach out to those who’ve got unclaimed medicare payments… saying there’s a lack of banking information…
General Manager of Services Australia Hank Jongen says they don’t do that. Instead, messages can be relayed via the MY GOV website.
He says by doing that – messages are factual and trusted.
