The Northern parts of the Kosciuszko National Park will remain off limits atleast for another six months.

From a winter wonderland to a winter waste-land

For weeks now,    20 percent of the park has remained closed
that means,  hikers, cyclists,  skiers and campers need to make alternative arrangements… as authoritie s use the time for animal control methods.

The area takes in the park’s northern region,  by the snowy mountians….   and runs parallel to the A.C.T. Border and Namadgi National Park.

all major ski resorts will remain open.
